The GOP Tax Plans and the Deficit

Why do we keep hearing that the GOP tax plans will add to the deficit? Why did Republicans seek to limit this amount to $1.5 trillion to be in line with their new budget? In a word: spending. The GOP refuses to cut spending by a penny. Just like Democrats in Congress, Republican in Congress have an insatiable desire to spend the taxpayers’ money.
