Forgotten Anti-Commie Cultural Artifacts

Mention the term “folk songs” and most people immediately think of those denizens of the Left such as Pete Seeger; Woody Guthrie; Bob Dylan, Joan Baez; Phil Ochs; and Peter, Paul, and Mary. But there was another group of lesser known politically charged singers and song writers equally committed to an agitprop agenda aimed at the American working class — but one focused on strident anti-Communism and the Cold War virtues of anti-elitism in American popular culture. Many of these delightful ditties are available on YouTube.
