The military family. As a Marine, Joseph Chamblin thought it was better to be pissed off than pissed on, but had to leave the Marines after a video surfaced of him peeing on dead Taliban fighters. His current girlfriend, the pregnant Lauren Buckingham, also a former Marine, tried to get him to kill her ex-boyfriend, with whom she has a child. She was just arrested after Chamblin turned her in and she was caught in a sting operation.

Even if I wanted to make this up to discredit the military, I don’t think I could have. My point here is that veterans and current members of the military do not make up some holy class of society. They are not role models. They are not heroes just because they wore or wear a uniform. Too many Americans think that they are all of these things.
