Falwellian Rhetoric

“He bombed people who were persecuting Christians,” University Chancellor Jerry Falwell, Jr. excitedly proclaimed while heaping praise on President Trump during Liberty University’s commencement ceremony yesterday.

Does is seem strange for a minister, a “man of God,” to praise a politician for murdering strangers in a foreign land (including women and children) with ten-thousand-pound bombs? Is “Go Forth, and Murder Those Who Would Persecute Us” in the Christian Bible?
