Every Holiday Is a Military Appreciation Day

A reader e-mails to say that GEICO ran ads on Presidents’ Day saying “thanks to our servicemen on this Presidents’ Day.” This is the first time I have ever heard of this happening. Soon every single holiday will be devoted to “the troops.” And then every day. Why doesn’t Congress just designate every day as “Military Appreciation Day” and get it over with. The suspense is killing me.
