Dumb Student or Smart Student?
February 15, 2014
A veteran recently wrote me complaining about one of my articles on the military. He mentioned protesting the Vietnam War as a dumb know it all student but then joining the Army and serving 8 years. (I can’t print some of the filth he wrote.) I would say that students who protested the Vietnam War and never joined of their own free will are the smart ones. It is those who joined of their own free will and to this day think they somehow “served” the country by doing so that are the dumb ones.
