Today’s Liberty Report is joined by LRC contributor Karen Kwiatkowski to discuss the latest push to force women to join men and register for the draft. The New York Times thinks it a great triumph for gender equality to place young women in the hands of the state to do with what they will. Karen disagrees, of course, but goes further to say that today’s military is not at all a defensive force but rather an offensive one. She thinks parents should think long and hard about allowing their children to join the military of today. Also, Karen recounts her experiences blowing the whistle on the neocons who lied us into the Iraq war. Are they still doing it? You bet, she says:
