The Doctor’s Plot: Now A Re-Run
March 6, 2017
Okay, well, I guess I’ll say it. While everyone is cheering Trump tweeting out that Obama tapped his phone or whatever, I see something a bit more troubling about that. That being, why is he doing this? He won the election. What difference does it make now? To what end should taxpayer dollars be wasted on a Congressional investigation for which he has no proof? This can only be one of two things.
The first thing it could be is preschooler behavior of tit-for-tat. Or a smokescreen to try and hide the rather growing evidence that his staff might have been playing footsies with the Russkies. Which would make him the election fraudster, not the Democrats, Obama, and the alleged millions of illegal voters. After all, had there really been so much fraud on their part, he’d have lost the election.
But the second possibility is something far more troubling. That being, Trump is exhibiting very paranoiac behavior. People were, and are, “out to get him”. What I see with this out-of-the-blue “Obama tapped my phone” is something very similar to the “Doctor’s Plot” that a very paranoid Stalin thought was against him back in the day. We cannot have this kind of paranoia in a president, I’m sorry. It’s paranoia like this that results in wars launched on paranoid suspicions. And with Trump virtually in control of the entire government except the judicial branch, this is a very real possibility. But what’s more likely is what paranoid leaders do more often than not—Turn the paranoia inward to perceived internal enemies.
Which means this: Say he thinks there’s a plot in the United States to launch several simultaneous terrorist attacks. He could declare a state of national emergency, perhaps martial law, perhaps troops on the streets, who knows? What if he thinks several members of Congress and the Senate are committing crimes simply because they opposed him and orders investigations and arrests? What if he passes executive orders mandating internal passports to travel within the United States? And background checks to obtain one? How about a loyalty oath? The death penalty for burning the flag? People better wake up. Another paranoid government built the Berlin Wall. And we’re building our own wall and people are cheering that, too.
People that fail to learn from history are doomed to repeat it. Then it goes into syndication and becomes the norm. If Obama is to be investigated, it should be about what the involvement was with the anti-Assad forces the United States was backing in Syria. Not some ridiculous personal vendetta. But paranoia doesn’t work that way. And we’re only a little over a month into this game. Today it’s Obama. Who will it be tomorrow? No one ever thinks it won’t be them next on the “enemies of the people” list. And let’s not forget that Trump used that very phrase: “Enemy of the people” in talking about the press. A phrase that came right out of the Soviet Union of Stalin.
You can check my articles here and see I’ve been critical of Obama since I started. Obamacare is a scam and Syria is a disaster his administration created. But once we start heading down this road of legitimizing paranoid behavior, regardless of whether we like the targeted person or not, it always ends up that everyone is targeted by the regime. I’m not the one warning of where this leads. History is.
