Did I Miss the Big Bernie Sanders Announcement?

August 13, 2020

For the past several decades Bernie Sanders has been bloviating about how America should be more like Sweden, which he claims (falsely) is a “democratic socialist” country.  (Like the U.S., Sweden has a mostly private enterprise economy and a big welfare state but lower business taxes).

I assume this means that Sanders has called for the end of all the “lockdowns” since Sweden — his utopian role model — never adopted many in the first place.  It surely never locked down the entire economy.   Must have missed it.
