Democracy Is Ruining America

Democracy in this country, even in the form of representative democracy, is almost unconstrained by what may be voted on. It is capable of overriding almost any purported constitutional limits. This concentration of power is stealing freedom and rights from us, and this theft is ruining America.

The next big theft of rights to make our own decisions is “Medicare for All”. The latest version, introduced today in the House by Pramila Jayapal (D-Wash.) has about 100 Democrats as co-sponsors. They all mark themselves as enemies of us, America, freedom and rights. They all mark themselves as extreme socialists and totalitarians, because the plan they want to tie us up with gives them immense power over medical decisions that should be in our personal hands.

America has been instituting socialism in slow motion for 100 years. The result has been a slow descent. This has postponed the inevitable collapse. The country is living on borrowed time.
