This Is What Is Defending Our Freedom?
June 26, 2016
Ensign Alexandra Marberry at the Naval Academy after changing from a summer dress into “her” working uniform. “She” is “one of an estimated 15,500 soldiers, airmen, Marines and sailors waiting to find out if they’ll be permitted to serve their country as the gender they identify with.” Perhaps it is a good thing that the military does not actually defend our freedom. I think we would sure be in trouble.
Update: A reader reminds me that Corporal Maxwell Klinger on MASH wore a dress so he would be labeled crazy, get a section 8, and be seen as unfit for service so he could go home.
