David Brooks and the IDF
March 2, 2015
David Brooks, the “conservative” at the New York Times has a son in the Israeli Defense Forces (IDF). I heard him say as much in his weekly interview on NPR last Friday. I see on the Internet that this is old news. Where have I been? I suspect that many readers of this blog had no idea either. If you don’t know who David Brooks is, then don’t sweat it. You are not missing much.
Laurence M. Vance [send him mail] writes from central Florida. He is the author of The Free Society; War, Christianity, and the State: Essays on the Follies of Christian Militarism; War, Empire, and the Military: Essays on the Follies of War and U.S. Foreign Policy; King James, His Bible, and Its Translators, and many other books. His newest book is The U.S. Proxy War in Ukraine.
