A former Philadelphia Eagles cheerleader was honored at the team’s home game on Sunday night because she has completed two tours of duty in Afghanistan as a 1st lieutenant after being an ROTC student in college. She made it back with her pretty face intact. Thousands of others were not so lucky. They only have half a face or one arm or one leg or one testicle. Some have none of these items. Let’s hope that this young woman gets out of the military when she can and go back to doing something much more productive that won’t result in anyone being unjustly killed–cheerleading. And by the way, cursed be ROTC.
