Likewise, it’s now a marker of devout progressivism to shriek like banshees at anybody who fails to don a mask even for a stroll along a deserted path.” First of all, during the middle of the “pandemic,” conservatives generally wore face masks just like liberals. And why not, since their leader Donald Trump said it was patriotic to wear a mask. But even if the statement about conservatives is not a caricature, what is wrong with not wearing a worthless face mask anytime, anyplace, in the middle of a pandemic? Even the CDC said at the beginning of this year that the face masks that people had been wearing for almost two years were not effective.
