U.S. Marines and sailors have been sent to the city of Tacloban in the Philippines after it was devastated by a typhoon. Not the purpose of the military, but at least they are not killing anyone. What a change from when the U.S. military killed thousands over there during the Philippine “Insurrection” in 1899-1902.
