Remember all the talk by von Rumsfeld et al about how they would never tolerate an Iranian-style Islamic state in Iraq? It was all talk, as usual. Article 7 of the new Iraqi Constitution says:
“Islam is the official religion of the State” and “No law that condradicts the unversally agreed tenets of Islam [or] the principles of democracy . . . may be enacted.”
So the puppet government being run by the Bush regime has in fact created an Iranian-style Islamic state. Will this made-in-America Islamic state funded by oil revenues, and filled with people hell bent on revenge against America for invading their country, make America safer?
The evil hand of the Straussians within the adminstration is revealed in the Lincolnite worshipping of “democracy.” Both of these things — state religion and democracy-as-religon — are patently un-American. The founders did all they could to minimize and constrain domocracy, which Jefferson believed needed to be “bound by the chains of the Constitution.” The whole purpose of the Constitution, Madison wrote in Federalist #10, was to control “the violence of faction,” a.k.a., democracy.
More evidence that the neocons are traitors to the constitutional republic of the founding fathers. They are the real Unpatriotic “Conservatives,” in other words.
