The comment about Bush being in a bar in Texas from the “guest blogger” got me thinking: How old was Dubya when he says he went on the wagon? He admittedly spent a good part of his adult life in an alcoholic daze. How many years did that leave him to prepare to become president? Five? Ten? Six months?
Jerry Falwell rallied the Christian Right around Dubya by telling his fellow pastors, “He’s one of us.” “He’s sinned and repented.” Does anyone recall the timeline here?
