Writes Kathryn Muratore: “The Baltimore GOP had a Super Tuesday party and straw poll. The R3volution turned out, despite 4 conflicting Ron Paul/GOP events in the area last night. One of the congressional candidates paid for a Ron Paul info table, where anyone who was interested could learn about Ron Paul’s stances on everything. The only other candidate with an ‘info’ table was Romney, but all of the ‘info’ indicated that Romney’s position is that he’s ‘for President’ (so it wasn’t very informative).
“The results, as announced in alphabetical order:
Huckabee – 2
McCain – 11
Paul – 20
Romney – 17
Undecided – 2
‘and several non-voters’
“Next Tuesday, Maryland, DC, and Virginia have their primaries. In this sad state for Republicans, the Ron Paul grassroots is extremely organized and, regardless of who wins the state, we will probably get many Ron Paul-endorsed delegates at convention. I have been surprised at how little animosity to us there has been in this state from Republicans (individuals and the party)…I think they know that the party has been sunk in Maryland for awhile and are happy to see a motivated faction (I heard that the # of registered independents now exceeds the # of registered Republicans).”
