Assets Forfeitures Are Worth More than Burglaries

Who are the biggest crooks in America? Cops, not criminals. The federal government is resuming its “equitable-sharing” program that allows local cops to seize your assets even when you haven’t been convicted of a crime. It turns out that in 2014, federal authorities seized over $5 billion in assets. That is more than the amount of money taken in burglaries that year.
