As Pathological As Pilate

I was out and about today on absolutely non-essential travel—oh, so sublime!—when my heart shattered at the sight of this marquee outside a church: “Pilate Washed His Hands. You Can Too!!!!”
That blasphemous billboard exposes everything wrong with the American Church. When Christians mock their Lord’s trial and death, is it any wonder that they immediately, even eagerly, suspend their services per Leviathan’s demands?
