AntiTrumpgate’s Latest Devastating Revelation

With every passing hour and new revelation, AntiTrumpgate is upon us. It involves the misuse of intelligence gained from spying, specifically misuse of intelligence by the Obama administration for domestic spying on political opponents, specifically Donald Trump and his associates — spying for political purposes.

The scandal has already reached a very high level, namely, Obama’s National Security Advisor, Susan Rice. She is in deep trouble and needs to seek legal counsel. When she does, that will be one more step in the unfolding of AntiTrumpgate. Others who had anything to do with the misuse of intelligence are going to seek counsel and be looking to make deals with investigators. There is going to be a mass effort to shift the blame up the chain of command.

This scandal is going to blow wide open. Nothing will stop this scandal from fully unfolding. Nothing can stop it. It’s a scandal built upon the misuse of surveillance intelligence. It can go in many directions. It will take many witnesses testifying under oath to provide details and allow a complete picture of who knew what and when they knew it.

Laws were broken. It has to be the case that Obama instigated the anti-Trump activity. His underlings and closest associates like Rice could not do this on their own and without his orders that facilitated the building of profiles of the Trump team to be made available for anti-Trump political purposes.

The latest revelation is devastating. It is this: “The intelligence reports at the center of the Susan Rice unmasking controversy were detailed, and almost resembled a private investigator’s file, according to a Republican congressman familiar with the documents.”

A week or two ago, I called this “Spygate”. That’s a good description too because the scandal cannot have occurred without excessive spying in the first place. See also Raimondo’s article. For an earlier assessment of Obama’s role, see here.
