Another Great Buchanan Quote
April 19, 2017
Pat Buchanan is one of my favorite conservatives. Here is a great quote from his article today: “Why, 64 years after the Korean War, a quarter-century after the Cold War, are we still obliged to go to war to defend South Korea from a North with one-half the South’s population and 3 percent of its gross domestic product?” This reminded me of another great Buchanan quote: “Why should a single American die for the Emir of Kuwait?”
Laurence M. Vance [send him mail] writes from central Florida. He is the author of The Free Society; War, Christianity, and the State: Essays on the Follies of Christian Militarism; War, Empire, and the Military: Essays on the Follies of War and U.S. Foreign Policy; King James, His Bible, and Its Translators, and many other books. His newest book is The U.S. Proxy War in Ukraine.
