American Haste and IS

Is the haste of America to make war on IS rash, showing little or no concern for the consequences? Is it based on little or no knowledge and forethought? One correspondent writes

“Prudence, justice, temperance and fortitude – the four cardinal virtues. Prudence is the one most obviously lacking in war fever, but so is temperance.

“The average American has no way of knowing what IS, ISIS, Al Qaeda, The Haqqani Network, Hezbollah, etc. are doing or if these organizations even really exist. If they do exist and are doing the things they are alleged to be doing, and a case can be made that action against them is constitutional, would it be prudent to proceed? Probably (almost certainly) not.”
