Wrong. According to a 2014 report by the Fraser Institute in Canada, America is tied with the UK for 12th place. The U.S. is behind Canada, Switzerland, New Zealand, Hong Kong, Singapore, Mauritius, United Arab Emirates (UAE), Australia, Jordan, Chile, and Finland when it comes to economic freedom. In 2012, the U.S. was in 18th place, so I guess this is an improvement.
