Aggression and Breastfeeding
November 30, 2013
Dr. James W. Prescott has done scientific work on the origins of love and violence. Also see here. In reading this, one must separate his advocacy for various actions from the scientific work, on which I am no expert. But it does look very interesting, and it is what supports his recommendations for much more physical contact between parents and infants and for much more breastfeeding that goes on for much longer, 2 years plus. He attributes increased violence to deficits in these behaviors.
Behind the decline in breastfeeding are a number of factors.
I leave this topic at that, without going into libertarian connections.
