A Surfeit of Suicidal Stupidity

February 11, 2021

Mark Seiler informs me,

This whole business of mankind being a plague that needs to be wiped out is nothing new.

But notice that none of the proponents begin with themselves, as David Maharaj observed when commenting on the same blog. (And jumping to a similar topic, he shared his favorite quote on abortion: “I remember years ago, a comic pointed out how easy it is to be pro-choice, after you have been born.”)

Anyway, back to Mark:

In 1989 David M. Graber, a biologist with the National Park Service, wrote a review of a book by Bill McKibben, who is a rabid environmentalist. In this piece Graber calls for the termination of mankind by a virus in the last paragraph of the review.

Interestingly, the movie Michael Moore made, Planet of the Humans, eviscerates the “green energy” movement along with McKibben’s 350 movement. It has been taken down by youtube because of a clip Moore used showing small children digging cobalt with their bare hands to provide the mineral for the manufacture of electric cars.

Always intriguing when Marxists betray their warped priorities. In this case, “environmentalism” beats exploited kids in the Third World.
