A Sad Anniversary

95 years ago today, the ratification of the 18th Amendment to the Constitution occurred when the 36th state voted to curtail freedom. I have been asked when cops in America first began their downward slope. Perhaps from the beginning, I don’t know. But I do know that enforcing Prohibition because it was “the law” gave them a big push in the wrong direction. I explain here how the 18th Amendment relates to the war on drugs.
