A 4th of July Follow-up —

Here’s a great follow-up to the 4th of July after Thomas Jefferson has on that day, from coast-to-coast, been attacked, vilified, scorned, and maligned as a slave owner, racist, white supremacist, imperialist, capitalist, and atheist. This concise little video above demolishes one of the most hoary or oldest myths, yet the one that is still persistent today — that of the fraudulent claim regarding Jefferson and Sally Hemings.

Did Thomas Jefferson father any children with Sally Hemings? The historical profession argues, yes. But the evidence does not support this conclusion as Professor M. Andrew Holowchak explains in this video.

But let’s leave President John Fitzgerald Kennedy the last words concerning the founder of the Democrat Party and the third president of the United States of America —

In a famous toast at a White House dinner in honor of 49 Nobel Prize winners, Kennedy said, “I think this is the most extraordinary collection of talent, of human knowledge, that has ever been gathered together at the White House, with the possible exception of when Thomas Jefferson dined alone.”
