It seems every person outside of the evil elite has had their life buffeted by the response of governments around the world (think of Governor Newsom). I list below items that might be of interest to you and add to your arsenal of pithy facts to make your relations think twice about following the government line (unless they live in Florida).
The continuing emergency
Robert Higgs has brilliantly explained the ratchet effect, that after an emergency such as a war the exceptional government powers during the emergency never fully recede. But what if the emergency never ends? This is what I warned people about from the beginning. I explained that if we go along with this plan we will be wearing masks on airplanes for the rest of our lives. Now I also ask if the date September 14, 2001 means anything. See the List of Emergencies on Wikipedia. Like the war on terrorism, the war against the virus (really the war against the people) will never end. The state of emergency from the September 11th attacks is still in force.

Passport rollout
Was the Covid pandemic a planned, purposeful event? In my mind, this is certainly possible but at this point I am not absolutely sure. On the other hand, have the draconian totalitarian policies all been in preparation for many years just waiting for the right (fake) emergency? No doubt about it. Here is one example you can show your friends. From their own website you can see that the European Union was planning for a vaccine passport for many years (see here for European Union vaccine passport roadmap planning).
A world of guinea pigs
Are you participating in a clinical trial? If you have received the experimental Pfizer Covid vaccine then you are. Here is a screen shot for the Pfizer study at clinical trial.gov, where all clinical trials must be registered.
In the last lines enlarged here, you can see the study is far from complete.
Covid questionnaire
My sister-in-law has an Ivy League engineering degree and a MBA. She has had corporate jobs and started her own business. Yet a couple of years ago, in her 50s, she decided to become a nurse. Now she is working in a hospital while continuing to take courses. She asked me to complete a questionnaire on my Covid experience for her class. My sister-in-law responded: “Thank you for your speedy reply and . . .I almost spit out my coffee when I read your answer to the last question!”
Please describe you and your family’s experience with Coronavirus. Your real name will not be disclosed, and all personal health information will be kept confidential. Thank you for your assistance!
What kind of general guidance and/or restrictions (such as mask mandates, curfews, lockdowns, etc.) were in place in your state/country at the time you were exposed?
October in France, Social distancing (2m) masks in all public places.
How did you find out you had been exposed to the Coronavirus?
My wife was exposed while doing an interview (she is a journalist). The person interviewed contacted her 2 days later to inform her that she had covid. The next day my wife started to have symptoms and was tested positive the next day. 2 days later I started to have symptoms and also tested positive.
What happened next? Were you required to get tested? How and when did you learn of your test results?
Yes, see above, the results were available within 24 hours by email.
What happened next? Did you see a doctor? Were you given any vitamins or prescription medications? Were you required to quarantine and for how long?
Based on my work rules I had to be quarantined for 14 days. I had an online doctor’s visit. I asked for vitamin D and zinc. He prescribed a multivitamin and mineral supplement.
Describe the course of your illness – what kind of symptoms did you have and how long did they last? Did you require hospitalization and/or supplemental oxygen?
My main symptoms were fever, fatigue and loss of appetite. After one week I believe I had a bout of low oxygen one night.
Did other members of your family become infected? What happened to them?
My wife gave the virus to me. Our daughter was tested negative. My wife had similar symptoms, but no oxygen problem and some headache. She also experienced tachycardia for some weeks after the rest of her symptoms were resolved. But now this has also resolved.
How satisfied were you with the way your case was managed by the U.S. / France health care system?
The system contacted me by phone 2 or 3 times during the week of my illness. This was OK for me as I did not want any more intrusion.
Has your experience with Coronavirus changed your beliefs about the pandemic?
No
Based on your experience, what is your opinion of how the U.S. / France government is handling the pandemic?
My experience is in line with the 99.99% of people for whom covid is not a serious problem. Thus, the government response is not in proportion to the problem.
Any thoughts on what you might do differently if you were in charge?
Keep repeating to all totalitarians in white coats the Hippocratic maxim “First do no harm.” They have not presented an assessment of all the harm created by government policies.
