The Integral Part Of Every Outfit: The Overcoat

It’s always interesting to see how men dress as it gets colder, notably with concerns to overcoats and jackets. For example: do you know people that won’t wear anything other than a light jacket during the winter? Or do you know people that drag out their winter coat as soon as the wind starts picking up? My overcoat is an integral part of every outfit I wear during these harsh months. So it always seems odd that such an important part of a man’s wardrobe can often be neglected.

It may be because some men don’t like any of the coats offered, or maybe men have been stymied by the sudden shift in trends or is it because some men are lazy? Whatever the case, selecting an overcoat is by no means a quick and simple task, and men have many things to consider when looking for the perfect one:

2. Length (full-length or 3/4)

3. Style (single or double-breasted)

4. Fabric

5. Cut

6. Details

Remember, these six things to consider are personal choices. You can wear a double breasted or single breasted in style. In terms of length, it is again your personal preference.
