You’ve Been Lied to About the Fever

There have been two huge civil lawsuit damages awarded to parents whose children suffered horrific allergic reactions from Children’s Motrin containing ibuprofen in the past couple of years. They were given Motrin by their parents for fevers from the flu. What you’ll soon find out though, is that these medications are completely unnecessary, as a fever is actually beneficial.

Emergency rooms admit tens of thousands of people annually for acetaminophen poisoning. Acetaminophen is the active ingredient of Tylenol and other over the counter (OTC) similar pain and/or fever relief drugs.

We have all been conditioned to accept fever alone as worthy of medicating to make it go away. It’s time to eliminate that conditioning. Here’s your shocker for the day: Fever is your friend. Don’t kill the fever; fever kills the pathogens causing the illness. High fevers even defeat viruses.

Allow fever to help you or your child get over the infection. Up to 104 degrees Fahrenheit or 40 Centigrade/Celsius will not damage the brain, as you may have been led to believe. There are exceptions, which I’ll go into later. But first let’s go over how fever fights pathogens.

Fever is Your Infection Fighter

According to former NASA scientist and researcher, Marshall Smith, the body causes a fever above 101 degrees which stops the telomeres on the ends of the virus from allowing any viral replication. Telomeres are chromosome caps to keep chromosome threads from randomly sticking together. Marshall Smith explains the virus replication process:

“When a virus enters one of your cells, it escapes from within its own old protein surface coating and it stretches out into a long string. The viral DNA then collects millions of free amino acids floating in your salty cell fluid to make a mirror image copy of the four types of amino acids in the viral chain. This reversed mirror image chain is called Retro-deoxy-ribo Nucleic Acid or shortened to RNA.”

Once this occurs, it continues on and on. This process is called replication and it’s how a virus spreads in the body. The original virus and its many replicate copies are now free to invade your other body cells, stealing pieces of protein coatings from your damaged and dying cells, and covers the viral DNA with stolen cell wall material.
