New Feature

At the excellent suggestion of Ralph Raico, LRC is planning to introduce a new feature, the title as yet undecided. It is a column that will appear from time to time, a kind of pot pourri, contributed by various authors, the items ranging in length from a sentence or two to perhaps 200 or 250 words (infrequently).

The purpose is for our friends and collaborators to be able to comment on the passing scene, deliver deadly jabs to our ideological enemies, and express themselves on whatever else might strike them as interesting to LRC’s readers. Humor is a definite plus. Thomas Sowell writes such a column occasionally, and the first part of National Review is similar to what we are aiming for.

Ralph will edit this feature; time constraints will make it impossible for him to discuss changes in the contributed item with the author, but he can be relied on to be fair. The contributor’s name, but without identification, will appear at the end of the item. So, if you have such a relatively brief comment, or comments, send them to Ralph, at [email protected].
