Why Not a War on the Cold

I read this line from the LRC article today titled “Woolly Hats and Heart Attacks” and immediately thought of the war on drugs: “Every winter in the UK upwards of 20,000 extra deaths occur that are attributed in one way or another to the cold.” Since there is not a single documented case of someone dying from smoking marijuana, shouldn’t governments the world over wage war on the cold instead of pot? It would certainly save lives instead of destroy lives. Truly the war on drugs is a war on freedom. And as I have said before, bring on global warming.
