A supreme court justice has resigned. For those who have invested far too many of their hopes, fears and dreams in the Yewnited States Supreme Court, this will be a busy, active and angry summer. Civilization is imperiled if the right person does not get the job! Liberty is at stake if the wrong person does! The horror!
What a perfect “watch-the-birdie” exercise to get our easily distracted ruling classes and WashBos media (I repeat myself) looking at something other than the wars, to knock the miserable conflict in Iraqkuo below the fold or off the front pages altogether! What a marvellous way to keep bases ginned, motivated and toeing the line!
So much for a boring summer in Mordor-on-the-Potomac. Let the games begin!
