I’m a college football fan and I have plenty of issues with the BCS, but the absolute last thing we need is the government doing anything about it. In fact, being a die-hard Iowa Hawkeye fan, the tradition of the Rose Bowl is one of the things I most look forward to, even if the Hawkeyes, and for that matter the Big Ten, haven’t fared well over the years. The annual game between the Big Ten and the Pac Ten is a great tradition, as are the other bowls. Given Obama’s talk of working with the Republicans, I suppose he’ll nominate a BCS Czar to placate Orrin Hatch.

Is there nothing left for us to enjoy without the slimy hand of DC on it?
