It is impossible to read anything in the New York Times without seeing both articles and editorials demanding an expansion of the authoritarian state. Today’s edition does not disappoint in that regard as the Times finds a new “danger.” It seems that some businesses don’t grant sick days, so people are coming to work perhaps with…H1N1! So, it is these capitalists that are spreading the pandemic, don’t you see?!?

As often is the case with stories like this, a member of Congress is introducing a bill to require private businesses to give sick leave. Was the reporter working hand-in-glove with someone from Congress? Perish the thought! Everyone knows that the NY Slimes is INDEPENDENT and does not kowtow to politicians.
