Obama is going to impose some new sanctions on Russia. This is his response to the fact that Putin met with Poroshenko and got a cease fire going in Ukraine that has so far held up pretty well. There are also reports of Russians leaving Ukraine and going back to Russia.
Isn’t the natural response to place further sanctions on Russia on hold or lift some existing sanctions? Hasn’t Putin produced what Obama wanted?
Obama also broke his word with Iran by imposing new sanctions during the ongoing nuclear talks. We are seeing a strange and perverse pattern of behavior by Obama. What’s wrong with him? He seems to have settled into a kind of stiff-necked, belligerent, bitter and distrustful mode of operation that is oblivious to what others are doing. No doubt the harpies that he installed in his administration are reinforcing his behavior. Obama is playing more golf because he needs it. He’s psychologically worn out. If only he’d do nothing but play golf for the next 3 years and sign no more orders and bills.
