When people are seeking a clear cut and concise  example of libertarian class analysis of America’s ruling elite, there is no finer one to point to than Murray N. Rothbard’s 1977 Inquiry article posted today at LRC, “The Treaty That Wall Street Wrote.” I don’t know how many times over the past several decades I have shared this outstanding research piece with my high school students and colleagues.   It is quintessential Rothbard—naming names and focusing on the historical, economic, and geopolitical aspects of the question it addresses.  Here are several books which complement this superb analysis.
