An ex-soldier, ex-cop turned killer of 9 people got a taste of his own medicine last night in the gas chamber at the Florida State Prison. My point is simply this: soldiers and cops are not a special breed of people. They are capable of anything that we mere mortals are. They should never be exalted just because they earn a paycheck in a government uniform.
