I read this on the back of a third-party Florida voter registration application: “Don’t miss your chance to STOP the Democrats’ runaway spending. Register to vote Republican today. Your vote will set the course for our country’s future.” The terrible truth about the evil, big-spending Republicans is that you can swap the terms “Democrat” and “Republican” and you have the perfect statement against Bush and the Republicans in 2004 and McCain and the Republicans in 2008.
