President Trump has shown a curious characteristic of turning on those who want to hold him to account. Right at the beginning, we had the falling out with Elon Musk over the Big Beautiful Bill. Then, to Trump voters who wanted accountability on the Epstein Files, the president wrote: “I don’t want their support anymore.” And now the president has attacked his biggest and most influential backers: Alex Jones, Megyn Kelly, Tucker Carlson, and Candace Owens. Why is the president burning so many important bridges?
