Dear Lew,
In all the words, all the “hot air” I’ve noted one small thing we should all take a hold of, or in this jarhead’s opinion. We hear Ottawa constantly these months, but in truth, we, who care of truth, need to change our ways. I believe it is worth securing the “O-Taw-Wa” from now to doomsday, and confront those with it, at every turn.
I’m just a Marine, a “centurion”, old, worn out, broken, but words carry weight, when they are laden with heavy meaning, and simply properly pronouncing those names that live in infamy, is a constant goad, to those who’ve never left blood on the ground. I enjoy the fact, in my “retirement”, I’ve left blood and skin on almost every continent, like a signature. Just one man’s opinion, but I believe we would gain in confronting the bastard sons and daughters of their father Satan, with every word they hear, not as they would speak, but as “We, The People” choose to speak, and face them down.
I have always grinned at the sight of “Scots, flipping their kilts, and showing their ass, to “great Britain”, no one could portray it more faithfully for me, than Mel Gibson.
I am a mechanic, machinist, tool and die maker, smith, etymologist, musician, (clarinet, violin, piano, Choir, and harmonica, for the woods, my dogs, and my brothers), but in the end, I am a berserker, born, bred, and lived. Only now do I realize the full meaning of music, as accompanying ourselves into battle. Words have a baseline meaning, and we once knew that as a culture, and can’t be said culture, without returning to wisdom.
Semper Fidelis,
John
