Don’s comment on your article hit the nail on the head.  Sound exegesis of the historical document, taking into account the meaning of words and phrases in their historical context.  You showed how to determine the author’s original intent and meaning.

Unlike modern scholars, you did not perform eisegesis and pour your subjective interpretation, meaning and biases into the text in order to make it mean what you wanted it to mean.
