Scooter Hero in Nice

Writes Tim McGraw:

Hi Lew,

I heard nothing about this scooter hero guy of Nice in the newspaper or at Alex Jones or anywhere on the net. Even at Drudge. Why not? And then I noticed that they cut off the video footage just as Mel Gibson, the Road Warrior, was climbing onto the cab to attack. Why do they always do that? Well, we know why.

Why was the Mad Muslim Max driver even let into the area? The security guards didn’t search it and notice it had weapons and explosives within? More madness.

Lew, I’m 64 and I’m dealing with aging parents on both my wife’s side and mine. Believe it or not, my parents are still alive living in their home, married for 65 years, financially sound and still driving. My wife’s parents have been married for 68 years and are also still living in their home and financially sound. Though their health at 89 is poor. They are not driving.

The odds of this happening are under 1%. We are very lucky and yet, my wife has no children and my two kids near forty, have no kids. They are not married. They can’t afford kids or marriage.

My genetic pool and my wife’s, is as dead as a snake in a hot wheel rut run over by an MRAP in Iraq. Well, I’m stealing a line from my hero and same aged soul, Robin Williams there.

What future is there for folks like us if our kids are living in our basements and can’t reproduce and start families? My kids are not living in our basement. They are successful in their own ways. But it isn’t the world I grew up in that they live within. It is a sadder, less kind, less free, more cynical world.

Tonight my wife and I watched the original 1950’s version of “Invasion of the Body Snatchers”. What a great movie! But looking around today, I think the body snatchers won. I see the zombies walking and driving around with their smart phones texting and talking and playing Pokemon-Go as if possessed by aliens. It’s not the world I knew as a child and young man.

If the Muslims, Chinese, and Hispanics want to fight over this planet; good luck to them. There is no stopping time and aging and Consuela, if you are lucky, wiping your rear end  in the home while you mumble about trying to answer questions on Jeopardy.

Where’s the damn remote?

All the best and thanks again for your Political Theater blog.
