Same story, different villain?

Writes Tom Mullen :

Hello Lew,

What do you think about this?:

Let’s see. It had been rumored he’d been killed years ago. He is reported to be killed now by US special forces in a “daring raid on the compound.” Details emerge from the raid indicating he died less than honorably, using women or children as a human shield, just in case his past actions weren’t enough to establish him as the ultimate evil villain. His body is immediately rendered unable to be identified by any independent third party.

Haven’t I heard this story before?

The suicide vest is also very convenient as the empire faced some questions with Bin Laden about why he wasn’t taken alive for the information he may have provided. This time, there is a nice and neat answer to that objection.

Plus, we have this whole other motif of the heroic dog.

It all seems just too scripted to give the public something to feel good about. If this were a Hollywood movie script, I think people would consider it too cornball.

But hey, maybe the empire is telling the truth. There’s a first time for everything.
