For someone like me who doesn’t live in New York, it’s easy to be mystified why anyone would continue to live there.

Of course, for many it is home, and certainly many more are unable to leave for myriad reasons. But I would exclaim to any New Yorker that the writing is on the wall, in bold and all caps. The New York Justice system is hopelessly twisted and corrupt. State Lawlessness can only lead to the State of Nature. And there will be no one there to protect you, and of course the State of New York wants to make it a crime to protect yourself. The police? What sane person would even consider becoming a police officer? Police departments across the nation, if they were honest, would place these words on recruitment posters: “Join the Police Force! Go to Prison!” No thanks.

It will only get much, much, much worse, and likely quickly. You are at the event horizon.
