Writes Jim Lloyd:
Hi Lew,
Last year I was talking to someone and referenced the book [Fahrenheit 451], doing a web search for some more details and learned that 451F is not the temperature at which paper burns. Instead it’s 451C, finding a story stating that Bradbury called the LAFD to get the information and was misinformed. Even in the 50s, the “experts” could not be trusted absolutely.
Over the last few months, I have become more certain that everything must be fact-checked, the minority opinion has more value than a majority will realize, and “truth” like science is more often than not a subjective expectation that validates the ego of the inquirer.
Since we are all in this together, whatever “this” turns out to be [great reset, WWIII, mandatory vaccination, all of the above & more], every source that invokes the first American tradition [dissent] is the only balm for the ballyhoo of the masses. As a friend of mine said more than a couple times, “recognizing madness IS sanity maintenance”.
