Writes Scott Olmsted:
Lew,
Matt Walsh, Editor & CEO of the Business Observer, a local business publication in Sarasota, Florida, ran an editorial urging subscribers to read journalist Michael Capuzzo’s article in Mountain Home, “The Drug that Cracked Covid” (https://www.businessobserverfl.com/article/the-battle-for-ivermectin). Walsh published several angry letters, many telling him to stick to business topics, at https://www.businessobserverfl.com/article/opinion-ivermetcin-ii-cons-and-pros, with responses by Dr. Pierre Kory, whose efforts to bring ivermectin to the attention of public health officials were chronicled in Capuzzo’s article. Walsh fired back at his detractors (https://www.businessobserverfl.com/article/readers-unload-on-ivermectin-story) defending his original piece as a business story as well as a medical story because of the immense cost of the vaccines and how the shutdown of business might have been avoided had this medicine been pursued quickly. Kudos to Walsh for showing us the spirit of true journalism is not entirely dead.
