When I refer to public schools as jails, I know what I’m talking about. New Canaan, Connecticut is considering implementing a program where all students will be tagged with RFIDs to make sure, among other reasons, to find out which students are cutting classes. As usual, the “good” news is:
“Fortunately for the students of New Canaan High School, Superintendent Dr. David Abbey has made clear that participation in the experiment would not be mandatory [emphasis mine], and that it would require both student and parental permission.”
“…would not be mandatory.” How often have we heard that lie before?
One of those other reasons for the tags is for “tracking students for the purpose of emergency evacuations.” It’s always about the “safety” and “security” of citizens. TRANSLATION: Create another fear-mongering thought in the minds of the sheeple that can only be allayed by more government control.
Homeschooling, anyone?
