‘Unprivileged Belligerents’ – The US War On Journalists

The Pentagon’s new, updated Law of War manual provides for the indefinite detention of journalists ruled by military commanders to be “unprivileged belligerents.” As we are always at war — undeclared but war nonetheless as they keep insisting — Americans had better be careful not to criticize the war effort.
